Pusa
Hey it sounds like you are all doing super great! Disclaimer I forgot my converter kwan at the house so there will be no pictures this week... sorry I'll have lots for you next week! It was so awesome to see you all last week. Crazy that there are only two calls left! I feel like I haven't been out that long at all. This week was pretty average for me. We did have a branch activity out on the beach which was pretty fun. I'm sure it was more fun for the members because they could actually swim but hey the free food was awesome. It has been raining a ton here. every single day. That has made it really hard to dry out my clothes but I will manage somehow. On Friday we found out that we unintentionally had a pet cat. I was upstairs getting ready for the day and elder Mafi yelled at me to come downstairs. Turns out a cat had snuck into our house through a window and had kittens in the cupboard under our sink. Of course we couldn't let them stay there so we made them a little bed in an old dog house thing that is in an empty lot by our house. When I asked Elder Mafi why he looked in the cupboard (we never use it because it is just full of past missionaries junk) he said he felt like there was a snake in it. So that was pretty exciting for us. On Saturday we were walking to a LA members house and wanted to find a new maybe faster way to get there. We had to cross a river and so we asked a guy if there was a bridge. While we were talking it started to rain super hard. He invited us into his house and we talked with him a while. The rain was crazy basically coming down sideways. Anyways we were able to give the guy a Book of Mormon and set a return appointment. God works in interesting ways.

May 7, 2018
This week was pretty great but just went by so dang fast. We have been working super hard to build up teaching pools and learn our area. There have been a couple of members that have been a huge help in taking us around and showing us places that will be more effective to teach in. We went out to one area and holy cow it felt just like a hike to get out there. By the time we were heading home I was sweating like crazy even though it was night and the sun was down. We extended to a part member family and they said yes. The mom and one daughter aren't baptized yet but two of the other kids are. The hard part is that the father works in Manila so he is never home but he is very against them getting baptized. Hopefully as we pray and work with the family the Lord will soften his heart and we can baptize them. As we have been exploring our area I have come to the conclusion that this is easily the biggest area I have had. We have been trying to go out to visit LA members and RC members and it is just absolutely huge. Of course because we are right next to the ocean tons of our area is on the beach. We haven't really tried to work there yet but I am sure I will get the chance to eventually. Fun little story last tuesday we were working and we came across a ton of people that had gotten stuck in the sand. It is really common for a bunch of people to get together and rent a big truck and then just all pile in and go for a day at the beach. Well it was about 6 and as they were leaving one of the wheels got stuck in a huge whole. We tried for about 30 minutes to get it out but it was just not moving. We had to leave them eventually and I hope they did alright but they were funny because almost all of the men were just wasted. Lots of fun conversations. The people are much nicer here than in the city so I really like that. I can get pretty much anything that I need. I think it is probably pretty equal with Buhi. We'll probably go to Naga to skype. It takes like 40 minute to an hour. We take a UV which I hate but it is fast. Like a van that they moved the seats in to fit at least 16 people in sometimes 20. It works for shorter people, m but I just don't fit. The people here like my blond hair and blue eyes. They always ask if 1. that is my real hair and 2. can we trade hair. The eyes are a huge hit. I had a nanay tell me whenever she sees somebody with blue eyes she wishes that she weren't married so she could marry them. She then subtly referred me to her daughter....
I love you all so much have a great week!

Philippines Bucket List
First off sorry my email is super late again. But more importantly today I checked something major off my bucket list. I'll talk about that later. So last Monday was my last time in the city for who knows how long and to celebrate me, elder Chadburn, Elder Gregory and Elder Gamas went to a store that has these massage chairs and gave them a try. It was worth it for sure. Man I think you should probably buy one so it will be there when I get home. Anyways Tuesday I transferred out here to Pasacao. I just love it so much out here. First the house has AC. It is super expensive to run it I was told so we only have it go for couple hours while we go to sleep. It has just been the best thing ever. Of course I might be singing a different tune when I get the electric bill. The rest of the house is pretty nice as well. It is just Elder Mafi and I there so we have plenty of space. Elder Mafi by the way is super cool and way funny. He is 22 years old and from Tonga. Also just as a fun bonus he is batch with me so of course we are just naturally close. He just loves to joke around and have fun so being with him has been a blast. My whole district is only 4 people. Elder Mafi and I and two other elders that work in the next town over from us. They are super nice as well. The rest of Tuesday was just unpacking and then we worked in a little place right behind our apartment. Wednesday we had zone conf and that was a blast like always. I just love the spiritual boost I always get from it. Thursday we just worked hard and walked a lot. We are both so new in the area we are still learning where everything is and what we have in our area. Friday we went out to a part of our area that has the ocean in it and it was beautiful. Sadly the work there wasn't as great. All of the people that we went to to teach ended up not being there so it was just lots of walking in the sun. Saturday we had a member that was willing to work with us the whole day and that was super nice. He really helped us learn the area and showed us some old investigators and places that we should teach. The people here are all super nice which I really enjoy. Sunday of course we went to church and Elder Mafi and I both gave some great talks. We also went out to a area that is kinda far away and on the way back elder Mafi wasn't feeling good. so we went home. By the time we got home he was just about dead honestly. It took him all his energy just to get up the stairs and into bed. I made him some food and after he ate and I gave him a blessing he was feeling much better. Today we tried to find a place called Bahay cave. It took us the whole morning and we hiked all over a mountain but we didn't find the dang cave. But I did get to ride a karabaw so one of my major life goals has been completed.
I love you all so much and miss you a ton. Have a great week!!
